My Journey Through Education, Certifications, and Self-Taught Skills

When it comes to my path as a digital marketer, it's been anything but conventional. I don't have a traditional degree, but my formal education in graphic design, combined with hands-on experience, has shaped my approach in this field.

I began my studies at Platt College San Diego where I gained a strong foundation in graphic design. Although I didn’t complete a degree, these experiences helped me build a creative mindset and eye for detail—skills that I now apply in my marketing projects. However, over time, I realized that my true passion lies more in the strategy and storytelling behind the visuals, which led me to focus on marketing and copywriting.

Self-Taught and Certified

Much of what I’ve learned has come from my own curiosity and drive to master new tools and techniques. I’ve completed several industry-recognized certifications, including:

- ClickFunnel’s One Funnel Away Challenge: This course helped me understand the art of sales funnels and how to build them effectively to convert visitors into customers.

- Google Professional Certificate in Foundations of Digital Marketing and E-commerce: This gave me a solid understanding of key digital marketing concepts, from SEO and analytics to managing e-commerce platforms.

- Billy Gene’s Certified Advertising Geneius Course: A deep dive into the world of paid advertising that taught me how to create impactful, ROI-focused campaigns.

Learning by Giving Back

A large part of my growth has come from volunteering with organizations close to my heart. Through nonprofits like Technology Goddesses, ASIS San Diego, and the International Protective Security Board, I’ve had the opportunity to contribute to important causes while refining my skills in communications, marketing, and design. These experiences have been invaluable in shaping my career, giving me real-world opportunities to apply my knowledge in meaningful ways.

Right on the Money

While my background is in graphic design, I see myself as more of a marketer and copywriter— something I call being a "Technical Creative." My sales funnels may not be flashy, but they are grounded in data and psychology, designed to drive sales. Rooted in the principles of direct response marketing, a time-tested approach that predates the internet, my methods focus on measurable results and compelling calls to action that get customers to convert.

My focus is on crafting messages that resonate and drive action—whether that’s through paid ads, content creation, or marketing strategies. The blend of creativity and strategy is what drives my work, and it’s what I aim to bring to every client project.
